Family Communication about Sex
Talking with young people about the pleasures, responsibilities, and risks of sex does not mean that a parent approves of their teenager having sex. When parents are open and honest, they help their children develop respect for relationships and provides them with important information for taking care of themselves.

Talking about Sexuality and Values —
Parent and teen participants complete an activity individually and then exchange their opinions about sexuality in facilitated discussion.
Attitudes and Beliefs —
Parent and teen participants explore values associated with sexuality through completing a handout.
